Directors
David Mann, Non-Executive Chairman
David Mann is Velti’s Non-Executive Chairman. David read Theoretical Physics at Cambridge University and worked for Logica plc from 1969 to 1994, where he became Group Chief Executive and then Deputy Chairman. He is the former Non-Executive Chairman of Flomerics Group plc, and currently holds that position at Charteris plc, (both companies quoted on AIM). He is a Non-Executive Director of Aveva Group plc (quoted on the Official List) and Room Solutions Limited. David is also a Past President of the British Computer Society.
Alexandros Moukas, Chief Executive Officer
Alex is a co-founder of Velti and, as CEO of the world’s biggest mobile marketing company, is responsible for its strategic direction, global development and execution of its strategy. Previously Alex co-founded, and was Chief Scientist, of U.S. strategic sourcing software provider FCI. He holds a M.Sc. supervised from MIT Media Lab and MIT Sloan School of Management, a M.Sc. in Artificial Intelligence from the University of Edinburgh and a B.Sc. in Business Administration from the American College of Greece.
Chris Kaskavelis, Chief Operating Officer
Chris is a co-founder of Velti and, as COO of the world’s biggest mobile marketing company, oversees all operations, project delivery groups, as well as the continuing development of Velti’s platforms. Previous to joining Velti, Chris at TCA had designed and been responsible for enterprise software systems for Pratt & Whitney, Analog Devices, General Electric and Lucent Technologies. He also holds a Ph.D. in Supply Chain Management, a M.Sc. in Manufacturing Engineering from Boston University, as well as a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering and a B.A. in Business Economics from Brown University.
Menelaos Scouloudis, Chief Commercial Officer
Menelaos heads up Velti’s global sales operation across 25 countries at present, servicing some of the world’s leading brands, advertising agencies and mobile operators. Menelaos leads the team to deliver innovative mobile marketing and advertising solutions based on Velti’s class-leading Mobile Marketing Platform (MMP). He was previously at McKinsey in New York where he was working primarily with large telecommunications companies. Menelaos holds a M.B.A. from the Harvard Business School, a M.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from MIT and a B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from NTUA.
David Hobley, Non-Executive Director
David is a Non-Executive Director at Velti where he advises the executive board on company strategy and performance. David has spent more than 35 years in investment banking with SG Warburg/SBC Warburg and Deutsche Bank where he has specialised in M&A, Equity Capital Markets and Commercial Banking. He is a Director of Orange S.A. and of several Orange Group companies as well the Orascom Group. David is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
Nicholas Negroponte, Non-Executive Director
Nicholas is a Non-Executive Director. He studied at MIT and has been a MIT faculty member since 1966, where he also founded MIT’s Media Lab. Nicholas serves on the board of directors of Motorola, Inc and is Chairman of One Laptop per Child ($100 OLPC), a non-profit organization. He has published extensively and he is also author of the New York Time’s best seller “Being Digital”.
Jerry Goldstein, Non-Executive Director
Jerry Goldstein is a Non-Executive Director at Velti where he provides strategic counsel to the company’s executive board. Jerry has over 33 years of investment banking experience and he was formerly Executive Director and Board Member of Citicorp Investment Bank in London, Managing Director of Kidder Peabody Internal Limited and Deputy Chief Executive Officer at Sanwa International. Jerry has also served as Chairman of the Council for Reporting Dealers. He holds a B.A. from Swarthmore College and a M.A. from New York University.

Wilson W. Cheung, Chief Financial Officer
Wilson W. Cheung joined Velti from AXT, Inc., a NASDAQ-listed semiconductor firm where he was CFO for five years, Prior to AXT, he held senior financial positions at NASDAQ-listed Yahoo! Inc. and Interwave Communications. A Certified Public Accountant, he has worked as an auditor with Deloitte & Touche and KPMG. Wilson has extensive experience in managing finance and operations teams in different geographies in a public company setting and has a strong background in finance, planning and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance. He holds a B.A degree in Economics/Business from the University of California, Los Angeles and is a certified director of corporate governance from UCLA's Anderson Graduate School of Management. Wilson is based primarily in Europe but also spends significant time in Velti's operations in the US.
